Why I Created Bouche
A few years ago, I thought I was doing everything right. Eating well, working out, building my career. But I was exhausted. While working full-time at Royal Bank of Canada and completing my master’s, I ended up fainting at work due to exhaustion. That was my wake-up call.
I was super "healthy" but I was neglecting my sleep, so I became obsessed with fixing it. I tried everything. But I was still waking up tired.
Then my husband suggested I try mouth taping. At first, I didn’t believe it could help. But the more I learned about breathing and sleep, the more it made sense. Most people unknowingly breathe through their mouth at night, disrupting deep, restorative sleep.
When I finally committed to it, everything changed. I woke up feeling clear, energized, and actually rested.
The problem was, every tape I tried felt like a compromise. I'm a stomach sleeper with sensitive skin and my husband has a pretty significant beard. Everything we tried either, didn’t stay on, irritated my skin, or just didn’t feel good.
So I created Bouche. A mouth tape that actually stays on, feels comfortable, and works with your skin. Today, Bouche is a simple habit that’s changed how I sleep, how I feel, and how I show up every day.
